Bakemono
Designed by Francesco Canovaro, Bakemono is a sans serif font family. This typeface has twenty-two styles and was published by Zetafonts.

Francesco Canovaro created Bakemono as a way to explore the design space around the duality of fixed/proportional width. He was also interested in the concept of monowidth design, inherent in monospaced typefaces, that can bring flexibility and ease of use also to proportional type - allowing you to change the weight of a word without losing the text alignment. In his research on fixed width type design he mixed the lessons of mechanical typewriter technology with the intuitions of eastern brush calligraphy, which has been dealing with for centuries with fixed space grids.

The name of the typeface comes from the Japanese shape-shifter yokais that could change their form freely between human and animal, and aptly describes the metamorphic nature of this wide superfamily coming in proportional, monospace and intermediate subfamilies. With a design mixing the expansion principles of the brush with the sharp technicality of typewriter and system fonts, Bakemono can both excel at text size in its regular widths optimised for legibility as well as owning the page at display size with its uncommon design details.

Bakemono reflects its multicultural nature with its extended latin + cyrillic charset, soon to be expanded with Bakemono Arabic (exploring the fascinating world of monospaced arabic script) and Bakemono Kana (our first experiment in cjk scripts).

• Suggested uses: born to allow you to change the weight of a word without losing the text alignment, Bakemono can both excel at text size in its regular widths optimised for legibility as well as owning the page at display size with its uncommon design details. Plethora fonts from Sudtipos - (efzea)

Designed by Alejandro Paul, Plethora is a serif font family. This typeface has twenty styles and was published by Sudtipos . Download Now Server 1 Download Now Server 2 Download Now Server 3 A few years ago I’ve discovered the work of one of the most prolific typeface designers of the Bruce type Foundry in NYC during late nineteenth century. Browsing Julius Herriet’s work I found a very unique kind of ligatures in his patented “Old Style Ornamented” type design. Some letters were designed with a little top tail that allowed them to connect to each other. After that, I found that he also designed a single italic weight of the same font 7 years later. Since the beginning of the Opentype days I’ve been deeply obsessed with exploring different ways to build ligatures, so that lead me up to this point where I felt the need to create “ Plethora ”, this new font inspired by Herriet’s work. Extrapolating weights, adding variable technology and playing with additional interconnected letters a...

TT Globs fonts from Typetype - (wdyoq)

Designed by Antonina Zhulkova and TypeType Team, TT Globs is a display slab and slab serif font family. This typeface has four styles and was published by Typetype . About TT Globs : TT Globs is the first font from the TypeType Starter Kit line, which is aimed at providing designers with fashionable typefaces featuring the basic set of font instruments of the same quality and development level as in the main TypeType line. The main differentiating feature of the line is the basic number of styles (only the most popular weights), absence of Cyrillic support, and a very thought-through character font composition without extra features and other superfluous elements. Thanks to such an approach, fonts from the TypeType Starter Kit line are democratically priced and are affordable for many designers. We were inspired to develop TT Globs by th...
